You may have been following our musings on the New Luxury here, but in case you haven’t, we’ve been seeing that consumers are increasingly tired of the traditional trappings of luxury and are craving something new. They’re the consumers and clients who have the taste and income for luxury (pretty much anyone who can afford to hire an architect or designer falls into that category) but want to avoid its associations with big brands and bling and the conventions you see in today’s shelter media.
We’re finding that what they’re really looking for is greater pleasure and mindful happiness in their lives. And one of the first places they can start is in their environments.
