You may have noticed: We like the Good Food Awards around here. In fact, we think the GFA team and the gloriously inventive foods and makers that they celebrate are downright awesome. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the 2013 awards, but here we are again, nearly through with the first full month of a new year. And while this realization often brings on some serious what-new-years-resolutions-have-I-accomplished-so-far panic, instead, we find ourselves feeling pretty good because with the announcement of the 2014 GFA winners, we have ourselves a whole new set of resolutions to add—130 of them, in fact—with no motivational difficulty in sight.

And don’t worry, you won’t have to satisfy your GFA appetite with this list alone. Like last year, we’ll spend the next months diving more in depth into (falling more in love with) the stories behind these life-changing/affirming edibles and the inspirational vanguards behind them.
